Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant – Manassas, VA

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants for a full-time role with school districts in the Manassas, VA area. Minimum Qualifications – Virginia State Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Hold an Associate's degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant or a related field

  • Possess an active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license

  • Applicants must have experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

  • Applicants must meet all local and state compliance requirements including:

  • Completion of background check and fingerprinting

  • Valid authorization to work in the United States

  • Adherence to Virginia's requirements for school professionals

Applicants who do not meet the outlined qualifications will not be considered.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech Language Pathologists in providing therapy to students with speech and language disorders

  • Implement individual and group therapy sessions as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting findings to supervising Speech Language Pathologist

  • Provide support for communication devices and assistive technology for students

  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress

  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other staff to support students' speech and language development

  • Follow prescribed treatment plans and modify approaches as needed
