Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) for a full-time position with school districts in the Houston, TX area for the new school year. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals. Contract renewals for the following school year will be based on performance.
Position Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Active Texas SLPA License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR)

Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies or a related field
-
Compliance with Texas educational employment requirements, including fingerprinting and background checks
-
Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
-
Assist in assessments and treatment plan implementation for students with speech and language disorders
-
Document student progress and maintain accurate records for reporting purposes
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student development plans as needed
