SLPA - Speech Pathology Assistant (Gainesville, GA)
Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Gainesville, GA. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to support students' communication development in a collaborative school environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to implement and oversee individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
- Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of the SLP, focusing on improving students' articulation, fluency, and language skills.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing regular feedback and updates to the SLP and school staff.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and support students' overall development.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay updated on the latest practices and strategies in speech-language therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or certification in Georgia.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or a related field.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for progress tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic school setting.
