Join Our Supportive Team as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Boulder, CO
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Boulder, CO for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, onsite position will support students with speech and language needs across a K-12 caseload, working closely with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to help students reach their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in providing speech and language therapy services to students across various grade levels

Implement individualized therapy plans designed by the SLP, targeting areas such as articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication

Provide direct therapy services to students, including conducting small group or individual therapy sessions under the supervision of the SLP
-
Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the supervising SLP to make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary

Assist in preparing materials and resources for therapy sessions, including visual aids, activities, and games
-
Conduct screenings and assessments as directed by the SLP

Provide support in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and attend IEP meetings as requested

Communicate with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress and any concerns related to therapy
-
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services, including progress notes and session summaries

Adhere to all school policies and professional standards, maintaining a high level of confidentiality
Requirements:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field

Active SLPA license in the state of Colorado

Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred

Knowledge of speech and language development, therapy techniques, and strategies for supporting students with speech and language needs

Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including teachers, SLPs, and special education staff

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with students, parents, and staff
-
Familiarity with IEP processes and experience providing services in alignment with educational goals is a plus
