VocoVision is teaming up with an Ohio school district to seek out a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This opportunity allows you to deliver online services to students dealing with various communication challenges, all while enjoying the freedom of an independent contractor.
Position Overview
- Independent contractor status (1099)
- Focus on K-12 students with mild to moderate speech-related issues
- Full-time or Part-time hours available
- Utilization of Zoom Plus platform (HIPAA/FERPA compliant)
- School day hours: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
SLP Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active SLP license in Ohio
- Two years of relevant experience, preferably in a school environment
SLP Job Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations
- Provide remote therapy sessions and interventions as per IEP requirements
- Develop IEPs based on assessment outcomes
- Utilize online tools, specifically Zoom Plus, for evaluations and therapy sessions
- Collaborate with on-site educators and professionals to meet student needs
- Attend virtual IEP meetings with families and faculty
