Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Sparta, NJ. This position can be full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's availability. The primary goal of this role is to help reduce or eliminate speech and hearing impediments that interfere with students' ability to fully benefit from the educational program.
Job Goal:
To assist students by reducing or eliminating speech and hearing impediments that hinder their ability to fully participate in the educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, analyses, and classifications of students' communication competencies and characteristics.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver individualized treatment programs for students with speech and language deficiencies.
- Provide diagnostic evaluations for students referred to the child study team for communication disorders and actively participate in team conferences.
- Develop and implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and teachers for eligible students requiring speech correction.
- Identify students in need of related services and provide appropriate interventions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid New Jersey state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
