Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and qualified School Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff to provide occupational therapy services that support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Certification/Licensure:
- Must hold current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience working with children, especially in a school or pediatric setting, is highly preferred.
- Experience working with children with disabilities, including physical, sensory, cognitive, and emotional challenges, is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as per their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Assess students' needs through observation, standardized tests, and interviews with students, teachers, and parents.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve students’ motor, sensory, and self-care skills.
- Monitor and document student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
