Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists based in the area of Fort Smith, AR, and who are passionate about working in an education setting! Soliant is working with a local partner and is seeking a full-time contractor.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- Arkansas Speech-Language Pathology License
Applicants will be working with K-12 students, with more students in the elementary school age group. The speech team strives to keep caseloads manageable at about 45 students.
As a school-based SLP, you will:
- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
- Determine student eligibility, presenting evaluation results to parents
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
- Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
- Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
