VocoVision is seeking a specialized Speech-Language Pathologist to provide virtual therapy services focused on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for students in Flint, Michigan. Our remote therapy platform connects qualified SLPs with students who need specialized communication support regardless of location barriers.

Position Details
- Full-time position (35-37.5 hours weekly)
- K-12 caseload across multiple grade levels
- Smaller caseload (approximately 40-45 students) due to AAC focus
- Emphasis on assessment and implementation of AAC systems
- Consultation with educational teams and families on AAC use
- Conduct comprehensive AAC evaluations to determine appropriate systems
- Develop communication goals tailored to AAC users
- Provide direct therapy focused on functional communication skills
- Train students, teachers, and families in AAC system use
- Collaborate with assistive technology specialists on device implementation
- Monitor and document progress in AAC use and communication skills
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and communication planning
- Maintain current knowledge of evolving AAC technology and approaches
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active Michigan SLP license
- Minimum 2 years of experience with AAC assessment and implementation
- Knowledge of various AAC systems and approaches
- Experience with virtual therapy delivery preferred
- Strong consultation and training skills
- Excellent collaborative problem-solving abilities
- Private, distraction-free workspace for virtual therapy
- Computer with high-quality camera and audio capabilities
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Familiarity with AAC software and applications
- Ability to demonstrate AAC strategies through virtual platforms
