About the Opportunity:

Join a supportive and collaborative school district that values its therapists and the crucial role they play in student success. You'll be working with a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students at the high school level. One of these positions is available for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate, providing excellent mentorship and professional growth opportunities. These are onsite-only positions, allowing you to build strong relationships with students and staff.

Job Duties of a School Speech Language Pathologist:

As a School Speech Language Pathologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments.
  • Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) with measurable goals.
  • Providing direct therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate communication goals into the educational curriculum.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized student records in compliance with district and state regulations.
  • Participating in IEP meetings and other student-related meetings.
  • Providing consultation and support to school staff on communication-related issues.
  • Staying current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.

Compensation:

We offer the average competitive hourly rate of $46-$56 based on experience for this contract Speech Language Pathologist position. Your specific rate will be determined based on your years of experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Colorado is required.
  • Experience working with high school students is preferred.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
