Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position within a reputable school district in the Birmingham, AL area. We are seeking passionate professionals who are committed to supporting student communication development in educational settings.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet all local and state certification requirements:

Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program

Possess an active Alabama Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA)

Hold a valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with appropriate endorsement or obtain a Special Services Certificate from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE)

Must have prior experience as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in a school or pediatric setting

Successfully complete all state and district background checks and fingerprinting requirements

Key Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' speech and language needs

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
-
Provide direct and consultative services to students with speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders
-
Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
-
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings
-
Support students in accessing curriculum through effective communication strategies
