Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Specialist to join our team for a maternity leave coverage at an elementary school in Hartland, MI, conveniently located near Ann Arbor. This full-time position will begin at the start of the school year and continue for at least three months, from September through November.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary school students.
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input regarding student needs and progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working with elementary school students is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
