Contract School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Los Alamos, NM Discipline: Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Dates: August 13, 2024 – May 29, 2025 Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (195 days)
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Los Alamos, New Mexico, for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time, in-person contract position working with a Pre-K/Elementary caseload. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students achieve their communication goals and possess strong IEP writing skills.
Caseload/Details:
- In-person position only.
- Pre-K/Elementary student population.
- Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders.
- Must be proficient in writing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs).
- Provide direct therapy to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school-related activities.
- Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid New Mexico state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Experience working with Pre-K/Elementary students.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work the full length of the contract in person.
Special Requirements:
- This is an in-person position only.
- Must be able to write IEPs.
Compensation:
Weekly pay with non-tax stipends average pay range: $1600-$2000 per week. Connect with me to talk about stipends package.
