Position Overview:
- Job Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
- Duration: Full academic year (2025-2026)
- Caseload: K-12 (specific details to be discussed during interviews)
- Work Setting: School-based, working closely with students, parents, and educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy to students struggling with emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students’ mental well-being
- Conduct assessments and collaborate with school staff to create effective support plans
- Offer crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as needed
- Educate students, parents, and staff on mental health topics, coping strategies, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (required)
- Active Mental Health Therapist license in Georgia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills
