Job Details:
- Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Location: Elmira, NY
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract for the 2024-2025 school year
- Caseload: PreK-12 students (specific caseload to be determined based on district needs)
- Start Date: August 2024
- End Date: June 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students in both group and individual settings
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for appropriate accommodations and interventions
- Utilize evidence-based practices to address a range of speech and language challenges, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current NY State licensure or ability to obtain certification prior to start date
- CCC-SLP preferred, but CFY candidates are welcome to apply
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is a plus
