School Based Audiologist Needed!

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Audiologist to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our students.
Position Overview:
The School-Based Audiologist will provide comprehensive audiological services to students, including hearing assessments, screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and management of hearing-related needs. The Audiologist will work closely with educators, school administrators, and parents to ensure that students with hearing impairments receive appropriate accommodations, support, and interventions to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct hearing screenings and assessments for students at various grade levels.

Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpretation of hearing test results.

Develop individualized treatment plans for students with hearing loss or auditory processing disorders.

Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and assistive technology, such as hearing aids and FM systems.

Collaborate with special education teams, speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other school staff to support students with hearing impairments.

Provide counseling and support to students and families regarding hearing loss and auditory health.

Educate staff on hearing loss awareness, auditory processing disorders, and best practices for supporting students with hearing needs.

Monitor and maintain hearing equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and appropriately fitted for each student.

Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program.

Current state licensure as an Audiologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.

Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of hearing assessment procedures, auditory processing disorders, and hearing aids/assistive technology.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Ability to provide professional development and training to staff and families.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
