School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Position – Pacific Grove, CA
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to students in Pacific Grove, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by supporting their communication and social skills development within an educational setting. Position Overview:
- Location: Pacific Grove, CA
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, during school hours
- Caseload: To be determined based on district needs; typically includes a mix of elementary through high school students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team, tailoring goals to meet each student’s needs.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to provide the best learning experience and resources for students.
- Document student progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and offer expert input to support student development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Current California SLP license.
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric clients is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with educators, parents, and students.
