Caseload: 24 students (12 High School, 12 Middle School)
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Tacoma, WA. This full-time position will provide support for high school and middle school students, working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The ideal candidate will have prior school experience and be licensed in Washington state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Support: Assist in delivering speech therapy services to high school and middle school students.
- Implementation: Follow and implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Collaboration: Work with school staff, teachers, and parents to support students' speech and language goals.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid SLPA license in Washington.
- OSPI fingerprinting is a plus!
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
