Job Description:
Boone County Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Florence, Kentucky. In this role, you will be working with PreK-5th grade students, managing a caseload of 50-60 students, providing therapy services to help them succeed academically and socially. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 50-60 PreK-5th grade students.
- Conduct assessments, diagnose speech and language disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy to students with communication and language needs, focusing on their academic success.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and school staff to create effective strategies for student success.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, providing input and progress updates.
- Track and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Promote a positive and supportive environment for students to improve communication skills.
Schedule:
- Full-time position (33.75 hours per week).
- Onsite role working across assigned school sites within Boone County Schools.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (KY).
- ASHA certification (preferred).
- Experience working with PreK-5th grade students (preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially through communication development.
