Position Overview:
We are excited to invite a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our supportive school-based team in Cooperstown, NY! This is an opportunity to work in a nurturing academic setting, empowering students to overcome communication challenges and thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in a diverse student population.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to foster communication and language development.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and setting meaningful goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress reports, and therapy outcomes.
- Educate and coach teachers and families on strategies to reinforce speech and language skills in daily life.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- New York State licensure or eligibility to obtain.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs welcome to apply.
- Experience in a school setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for empowering students.
