Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Lawrence, MA
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) for a full-time position with school districts in the Lawrence, MA area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all local and state requirements and are committed to helping students develop essential communication skills.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- Active Massachusetts SLP license issued by the Board of Registration for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Previous experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting
- Ability to meet all state and local education requirements
Applicants who do not meet the outlined qualifications will not be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field
