Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is hiring a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Elk Grove, CA, to support students' communication development within a school setting. This role provides the chance to work directly with students, implementing therapeutic plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about making a positive difference in students' lives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising SLP in delivering speech and language services to students
- Implement therapy plans and activities to help students reach their communication goals
- Document student progress and provide regular updates to the supervising SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to foster student success
- Follow school and state regulations for therapy services
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- California SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Previous experience with children or in an educational setting is beneficial
