School Speech Language Pathologist Full Time Opportunity
Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Phillipsburg, PA
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Phillipsburg, PA area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all state and local requirements to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to students.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Possess an active Pennsylvania SLP license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
- Obtain a Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Certification for school-based SLPs
- Hold an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) (preferred but not required)
- Have previous experience working as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting
- Meet all local and state requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, and district-specific clearances
Responsibilities
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, key responsibilities may include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address speech and language needs
- Providing direct therapy services in individual and group settings
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Maintaining detailed records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
- Participating in IEP meetings and advocating for students' speech and language development
