Remote Speech-Language Pathologist Position
VocoVision is partnering with an exceptional school district in the Albuquerque, NM area, looking to hire a remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Candidates with experience in school settings are highly encouraged to apply, as the district is keen to fill this role promptly.
Location Note: You are not required to live in New Mexico to apply; however, you must possess licenses for both your home state and New Mexico.
Position Overview:
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time for the 2024-2025 school year
- Student Caseload: 40-55 students, with support from other remote SLPs and onsite assistants
- Pay Rate: $45-$48 per hour, paid weekly based on experience
- Type of Services: Includes both direct and indirect therapy
- Contractual Arrangement: Independent contractor position
- Insurance Requirement: Professional liability insurance is needed upon hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform remote evaluations and assessments related to speech, voice, hearing, and language challenges.
- Create and implement customized intervention plans to meet each student's unique communication and language development needs.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff to provide impactful virtual interventions.
Required Experience:
- At least two years of experience in a school environment is required.
- Must be comfortable working independently.
Certification Requirements:
- Must have a New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- Must be willing to obtain NMRLD and PED licenses if not already held.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required.
- Up-to-date state clearances (including fingerprints, TB testing if applicable, and background checks) are necessary.
