Position Overview:
In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with speech and language difficulties. Your contributions will be crucial in implementing therapy strategies and improving communication skills among students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in delivering speech and language therapy to students.
- Follow and implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Conduct screenings and aid in the assessment of students.
- Keep detailed records of student progress and therapy outcomes.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to address student needs.
- Engage in meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- State certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience in a school environment is a plus but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
