Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support our Speech-Language Pathologists in Stanhope, PA. The SLPA will assist in providing speech and language services to students, working under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to help students achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy programs as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Work with students individually or in groups to practice speech and language skills.
- Document and track students’ progress and communicate findings to the supervising SLP.
- Prepare materials and activities for therapy sessions.
- Support the SLP in conducting screenings and assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
- Pennsylvania SLPA certification or eligibility.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of an SLP.
