Job Description:
Soliant is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in Richmond, CA. As an SLPA, you will work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide support and therapy services to students, helping them achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in conducting therapy sessions and providing direct services to students.
- Implement treatment plans and activities developed by the SLP to address speech and language disorders.
- Support students in achieving their individualized education plan (IEP) goals.
- Document students' progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure that students receive the necessary support within the classroom.
- Assist with screenings and assessments under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- California SLPA license or eligibility to obtain.
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from the supervising SLP.
