Are you passionate about helping students reach their communication goals? We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Prineville, OR. This school-based role offers the chance to work directly with students, supporting their speech and language development under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy plans for students.
- Conduct speech and language exercises with students to reinforce communication goals.
- Track and document student progress, providing feedback to the supervising SLP.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials, maintaining a positive and encouraging environment for students.
- Communicate with teachers and staff to support each student’s needs effectively.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a related field.
- Valid SLPA license in Oregon.
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
