Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based role in Pisgah Forest, NC. As an SLPA, you will collaborate with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to students, helping them develop essential communication skills in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Implement speech-language intervention programs designed by the supervising SLP.
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Support students in achieving their communication goals as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success in the classroom and beyond.
- Assist in administering screenings and assessments under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- North Carolina SLPA license or eligibility to obtain.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow guidance from the supervising SLP.
