Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology or a related field
- Current Louisiana SLPA license
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Opelousas, LA. This full-time position involves supporting the speech-language pathologist (SLP) in providing clinical services to a K-12 student caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the SLP for a caseload of 50 students
- Assist with the completion of routine paperwork and maintenance of clinical records
- Schedule meetings and prepare clinical materials as needed
- Participate in Annual Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings (when meeting licensing board requirements and approved by the supervising SLP)
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge under the guidance of the licensed SLP
