Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for a school-based position in Mocksville, NC. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, supporting their academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of therapy plans developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in group or individual settings.
- Support data collection and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Assist with preparing materials for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student goals.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with student IEPs (Individualized Education Plans).
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field.
- Active North Carolina SLPA license or eligibility for certification.
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
