Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Minden, LA. This role offers the opportunity to support students in achieving their communication goals while working in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities.
- Document and report student progress to the supervising SLP.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to support student success.
- Maintain compliance with Louisiana state regulations for SLPAs.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent coursework.
- Active Louisiana SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
