Position Overview:
As a school-based SLPA, you’ll work under the supervision of licensed SLPs to support students in developing essential speech and language skills. Your role will directly impact students' learning and social success, providing them with the tools they need for classroom and life achievements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Document student progress and report updates to the supervising SLP
- Support individualized student goals and adapt therapy plans as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s success in their academic environment
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent
- Current Oregon SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
