Job Description:
Are you a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a passion for helping students overcome communication challenges? Join our supportive school team in Indianapolis, IN, where you’ll play a vital role in empowering students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans to address students’ speech and language goals.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support communication strategies in the classroom.
- Prepare and organize materials for therapy sessions to ensure student engagement.
- Track and document student progress, contributing valuable insights for ongoing assessments.
- Support SLPs in conducting screenings and assessments as needed.
- Communicate regularly with families to reinforce speech strategies at home.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active Indiana SLPA certification or ability to obtain one.
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
