Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Fincastle, VA. In this role, you will support the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering effective speech and language services to students with communication disorders. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping students improve their communication skills and succeed in their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy programs.
- Provide direct support to students during therapy sessions.
- Help prepare materials and resources for therapy activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate student learning and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Virginia SLPA license or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
