Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Clay, WV. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct services to students with speech and language disorders, helping them achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans designed by the Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
- Track and document student progress and communicate findings to the supervising SLP.
- Assist with assessments and screenings as needed.
- Support SLPs in preparing materials and resources for therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field.
- West Virginia state certification or eligibility.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
