Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in Berenda, CA. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in developing their communication skills and achieving academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Implement therapy activities and exercises as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Monitor and document student progress during therapy sessions.
- Prepare materials and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Support the SLP in conducting screenings and assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to student therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
- Valid California SLPA license.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of an SLP.
