Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Vancouver, WA. The ideal candidate will work closely with students to enhance their communication abilities, contributing to their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' speech, language, and communication disorders through comprehensive assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to target each student’s specific needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school professionals to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer expert input on accommodations and interventions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Educate and support school staff and parents on speech-language strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Washington State SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
