School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Spring Mills, PA
About the Position:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Spring Mills, PA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students by providing speech and language therapy services to children with various communication disorders. The SLP will work collaboratively with school staff and families to support students' speech and language development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure progress and adjust therapy as needed.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, setting appropriate goals and objectives for students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, student progress, and evaluations.
- Provide support and resources to teachers and parents to promote speech and language development outside of therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current or pending licensure in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain).
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
