Job Posting: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Portland, ME

Are you a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time SLP in Portland, ME, working with an Elementary Functional Life Skills program. This role offers a rewarding chance to work with a dedicated team and support students with significant functional needs, primarily related to intellectual disabilities (ID) and autism.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Current or pending ME SLP license
  • Strong understanding of AAC and experience supporting students with ID and autism
  • Degree in Communications/Speech-Language required

Position Details:

  • Location: Portland, ME
  • Caseload: 12 students with significant functional needs
  • Program Focus: Support with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), minimal behavioral challenges
  • Schedule: Full-time (32.5-40 hours per week)
