Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Pontiac, MI. The SLP will work with students to assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Educate and support teachers and parents on strategies to enhance students' communication skills.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
