Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Norwalk, CT. This school-based role involves assessing and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them succeed in both academic and social settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on each student’s specific needs and goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' progress and implement therapy goals in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, evaluations, and student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations.
- Provide support and strategies to teachers and families to enhance students' communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Connecticut SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
