Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in New Hope, MN. The SLP will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, helping them achieve their academic and social goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' unique needs.
- Provide therapy to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ communication skills in the classroom.
- Maintain detailed records of evaluations, progress reports, and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering input on students’ needs and progress.
- Educate and provide resources to teachers and families to promote skill development outside of therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Minnesota SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented educational environment.
