Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Livonia, MI. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them achieve their academic and social goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development and review of student-specific goals and objectives.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Educate and support parents and teachers in understanding and implementing strategies to improve students' communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or certification in Michigan.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
