Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Lewisville, TX. The successful candidate will work with students to improve their communication skills, enhancing their academic and social outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations for accommodations and interventions.
- Educate and guide school staff and parents on strategies to support students’ speech and language development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Texas SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
