Description:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Katy, TX. As an SLP, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess students' needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with communication disorders
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support students' speech and language goals
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and strategies to enhance communication skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals
- Stay up to date with best practices in speech therapy and continue professional development
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Texas state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of students and school professionals
