Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Dover, DE. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, and communication disorders, ensuring they receive the support needed to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the creation and review of student-specific goals and objectives.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or certification in Delaware.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
