School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Detroit, MI
About the Position:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic school-based team in Detroit, MI. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students by providing high-quality speech and language therapy services in a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students' communication challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor progress and promote student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and contributing to goal development.
- Document therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment plans accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Michigan State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
