Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Coalville, IA. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students, enabling them to achieve academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address each student's specific needs.
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions to enhance students' communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop, review, and update student goals and progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Provide training and resources to teachers and parents on strategies to support students' communication development.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or certification in Iowa.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting is an advantage.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
