Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Cleveland, OH. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve students' communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and home support.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to establish, review, and update student goals and track progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Offer training and resources to teachers and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and continuing education in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or certification in Ohio.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
